राज्य के वनमंडल बलौदाबाजार के अंतर्गत बारनवापारा अभ्यारण्य क्षेत्र में 19 सितंबर को एक सांभर के शिकार के मामले में अभी दो आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर आवश्यक कार्रवाई की जा रही है। इसके साथ ही आरोपियों के पास से एक नग मोबाइल और एक अल्टो कार सीजी-04 एचएल 7234 सहित शिकार में प्रयुक्त अन्य सामग्रियां भी जब्त की गई है। इस संबंध में अपर प्रधान मुख्य वन संरक्षक श्री अरूण पाण्डेय ने बताया कि वनमंडलाधिकारी बलौदाबाजार श्री आलोक तिवारी के निर्देशानुसार वन विभाग की गठित टीम द्वारा सांभर के अवैध शिकार के मामले में संलिप्त अन्य आरोपियों की गहन खोजबीन जारी है।
वनमंत्री श्री मोहम्मद अकबर के निर्देशन में राज्य में वन विभाग द्वारा वन अपराधों की रोकथाम के लिए सतत् अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। इस तारतम्य में मुख्य वन संरक्षक रायपुर श्री जे.आर. नायक ने बताया कि गतदिवस 19 सितंबर को बलौदाबाजार वनमंडल के देवपुर वन परिक्षेत्र अंतर्गत सभी बेरियरों में वन विभाग की टीम द्वारा जांच की जा रही थी। इस दरम्यान रात्रि 8.30 बजे बया बेरियर में एक अल्टो कार को संदिग्ध हालत में पाया गया। कार की जांच करने पर उसके डिग्गी में पाए गए बोरी में 46 किलोग्राम वन्यप्राणी सांभर का मांस पाया गया। मौके पर श्री धर्मेन्द्र कश्यप ग्राम कलमीदादर को धर-दबोचा गया।
आरोपी कश्यप ने बोरी में रखे मांस को सांभर का मांस होना बताया और इसे ग्राम पकरीद निवासी गौतरिहा बरिहा के घर से खरीदकर लाना बताया। जिसके आधार पर वन विभाग के गठित टीम द्वारा 20 सितंबर की सुबह आरोपी बरिहा के घर में छापामार कर शिकार में प्रयुक्त जी.आई. तार आदि सामग्रियों और वन्यप्राणी सांभर के कटे अवशेष को जब्त किया गया। अभी कार्रवाई के दौरान दोनों आरोपी धर्मेन्द्र कश्यप और गौतरिहा बरिहा को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है। उक्त कार्रवाई में वन परिक्षेत्र अधिकारी श्री पंचराम यादव, श्री भुनेश्वर वर्मा तथा श्री बसंत खांडेकर आदि विभागीय अमले का सराहनीय योगदान रहा।
