CBI द्वारा रविवार को भतीजे अभिषेक बनर्जी की पत्नी को कोयला चोरी मामले में पूछताछ के लिए नोटिस थमाए जाने के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने हमला बोला है। उन्होंने कहा है कि जब तक उनके अंदर जान है, वह किसी भी तरह की धमकी से डरने वाली नहीं हैं। ममता बनर्जी ने कहा, हमें जेल से डराने का प्रयास नहीं करें, हमने बंदूकों का सामना किया है और हम चूहों से लड़ने से नहीं डरते। मुख्यमंत्री ने आगे कहा कि साल 2021 में केवल एक खेल होगा और उस मैच में मैं गोलकीपर होऊंगी और यह देखना चाहती हूं कि कौन जीतता है और कौन हारता है।
सीबीआई की टीम ने अभिषेक की पत्नी रुजिरा बनर्जी को पश्चिम बंगाल स्थित ईस्टर्न कोलफील्ड्स लिमिटेड (ईसीएल) से कोयला चोरी के मामले में जांच अधिकारी, सीबीआई के अतिरिक्त पुलिस अधीक्षक उमेश कुमार की ओर से जारी नोटिस थमाया। इस मामले में अनूप मांझी को कथित मास्टरमाइंड बताया जाता है। रविवार को जारी नोटिस में रुजिरा से कहा गया कि वह हरीश मुखर्जी रोड स्थित अपने पते पर मामले से संबंधित कुछ सवालों के जवाब के लिए उपस्थित रहें। सीबीआई की कार्रवाई पर तृणमूल कांग्रेस और भाजपा ने एक-दूसरे पर निशाना साधा।
अभिषेक बनर्जी ने ट्वीट करके कहा कि आज दोपहर दो बजे, सीबीआई ने मेरी पत्नी के नाम एक नोटिस तामील किया। हमें देश के कानून पर पूरा भरोसा है। हालांकि, यदि वे सोचते हैं कि वे हमें डराने के लिए इन हथकंडों का इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं तो वे गलत हैं। हम वे लोग नहीं हैं, जो झुक जाएं।
केंद्रीय जांच एजेंसी की कार्रवाई पर तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने राजनीतिक प्रतिशोध का आरोप लगाते हुए केंद्र में सत्तारूढ़ भाजपा पर हमला बोला और कहा कि सीबीआई इसका एकमात्र सहयोगी है जो अब उसके पास बचा है। वहीं, बीजेपी ने तृणमूल कांग्रेस पर हमला बोलते हुए आरोप लगाया कि वह मामले का राजनीतिकरण कर रही है और कानून अपना काम करेगा।
