अब PF सिस्टम में भारी बदलाव की तैयारी चल रही, जितना पैसा कटेगा, उतनी ही पेंशन

अब निजी क्षेत्र के कामगारों के लिए एक अहम खबर है जिसका सीधा असर उनकी जेब पर हो सकता है। लेबर मिनिस्ट्री के शीर्ष अधिकारियों ने लेबर से जुड़ी संसदीय समिति को सुझाव दिया है कि EPFO में पेंशन फंड को व्यावहारिक बनाए रखने के लिए मौजूदा व्यवस्था को खत्म किया जाए। उन्होंने defined benefits के बजाय defined contributions की व्यवस्था अपनाने पर जोर दिया है। यानी पीएफ मेंबर्स को उनके अंशदान यानी कंट्रीब्यूशंस के मुताबिक बेनिफिट मिलेगा।
सूत्रों के मुताबिक अधिकारियों ने गुरुवार को संसदीय समिति को बताया कि ईपीएफओ के पास 23 लाख से अधिक पेंशनर हैं जिन्हें हर महीने 1000 रुपये पेंशन मिलती है। जबकि पीएफ में उनका अंशदान इसके एक चौथाई से भी कम था। उनकी दलील थी कि अगर defined contributions की व्यवस्था नहीं अपनाई गई तो सरकार के लिए लंबे समय तक इसे सपोर्ट करना व्यावहारिक नहीं होगा।
क्यों नहीं बढ़ाई पेंशन
ईपीएफओ की सेंट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ ट्रस्टीज ने अगस्त 2019 में न्यूनतम पेंशन 2000 रुपये से बढ़ाकर 3000 रुपये करने की सिफारिश की थी। लेकिन लेबर मिनिस्ट्री ने इसे लागू नहीं किया। संसदीय समिति ने इस बारे में लेबर मिनिस्ट्री से जवाबतलब किया था।
यहां सूत्रों ने द न्यू दुनिया को बताया था कि मिनिमम पेंशन 2000 रुपये करने से 4500 करोड़ रुपये का बोझ पड़ेगा। अगर इसे 3000 रुपये कर दिया गया तो सरकार पर 14595 करोड़ रुपये का अतिरिक्त बोझ पड़ेगा।
