उत्तराखंड के चमोली में हाइड्रो पावर प्रोजेक्ट का बांध टूटने से भयंकर तबाही, करीब 200 से अधिक श्रमिकों की मौत

चमोली जिले में एवलांच के बाद ऋषिगंगा और फिर धौलीगंगा पर बने हाइड्रो प्रोजेक्ट का बांध टूटने से गंगा और उसकी सहायक नदियों में बाढ़ का खतरा पैदा हो गया है। इसे देखते हुए राज्य में चमोली से लेकर हरिद्वार तक अलर्ट जारी कर दिया गया है। सूचना मिल रही है कि करीब २०० से अधिक श्रमिकों की मौत हो गई है। जब यह हादसा हुआ, तब दोनों प्रोजेक्ट पर काफी संख्या में मजदूर कार्य कर रहे थे। कई मजदूरों के बहने की सूचना है।
मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत लगातार इस घटनाक्रम पर निगरानी रखे हुए हैं। वे कुछ ही देर में घटनास्थल के लिए रवाना हो रहे हैं। मिली जानकारी के अनुसार रविवार सुबह एवलांच के बाद चमोली जिले के अंर्तगत ऋषिगंगा नदी पर रैणी गांव में निर्माणाधीन 24 मेगावाट के हाइड्रो प्रोजेक्ट का बैराज टूट गया। इसके बाद मलबे और पानी का तेज बहाव धौलीगंगा की ओर बढ़ा।
नतीजतन रैणी से करीब 10 किमी दूर तपोवन में धौलीगंगा नदी पर निर्माणाधीन 520 मेगावाट की विद्युत परियोजना का बैराज भी टूट गया। इसके बाद हालात बिगड़ गए। दोनों प्रोजेक्ट पर काम कर रहे बड़ी संख्या में मजदूरों के बहने की सूचना है।
